DBU and LAN Card Slots
The TSU IQ+ rear panel has two card slots (labeled
DBU Interface
and
LAN Interface
) for the installation of dial backup, ethernet, and
DCE cards. To insert cards, perform the following procedure:
1.
On the rear panel, turn off the power switch.

Slide the card into the corresponding rear slot until the card

Network Connector
Connect the TSU IQ+ to the network by using the 8-position
modular jack labeled

Test Jacks
Monitor
The monitor jack (labeled
MON
) is used as a non-intrusive
monitoring point for the data received from the network. The

The
IN
and
OUT
jacks are used to connect to a T1 test set for testing
the T1 interface of the TSU IQ+. These connections isolate the T1
interface from the RJ-45 network jack.

Card slots are keyed to prevent improper installation (i.e., putting a DBU
