Introduction

Model 2160 Series Getting Started Guide 

This chapter contains information for planning the installation of the Model 2160 with the following installa-
tion procedures:

 on page 29 lists the contents of the shipping box

 on page 29 describes how to install the port cables

•

 on page 30 describes how to ground and connect the 

power source

Before beginning the actual installation, we strongly recommend that you gather all the information you will 
need to install and set up the device.

Create a network diagram

Gather IP related information 

•

Install the hardware and software needed to configure the Model 2160 

•

Verify power source reliability
