Cerwin-Vega cvhd-12s Betriebsanweisung

1. Place base cover over base weight.

2. Insert M8 x 20mm screw through base weight 

and base cover into bottom of stand upright.
Repeat for remaining two screws.

3. Finger tighten the base screws and make sure 

the stand upright is properly aligned with the 
base.

4. Tighten the 3 base screws once properly 

aligned.

5. Attach either the 3 threaded carpet spikes or 

rubber feet to the bottom of the base weight.

For mounting your CVHD-63 in the high
position: 

6. Screw in the mounting key hardware into the 

lower two inserts on the back of your CVHD-63.

7. Run the speaker wire through the base and 

out the top of the stand upright.

8. Attach the speaker to the stand by putting the 

mounting keys (on the back of the speaker) 
into the key slots in the stand upright and slide 
down to lock in position.

9. Feed speaker wire through the hole in the stand

cap for the top of the stand.

10. Attach the speaker wire to the speaker binding 

posts making sure to observe correct polarity (+
to red binding post, - to black binding post).

11. Optional step: For enhanced dampening 

characteristics, loosely fill the supplied 
plastic tube with sand and place in the stand upright (take care not to puncture 
the plastic bag on the internal ribs of the stand upright while sliding it in).

12. Place the cap on the top of the stand tube.

13. Attach the wire cover to the upper pair of threaded inserts on the back of your 

CVHD-63 (just above and below the binding posts) with the supplied M5 x 18mm 
screws.

For mounting your CVHD-63 in the middle position: 

6. Screw in the mounting key hardware into the middle two inserts on the back of 

your CVHD-63C (just above and below the binding posts).

7. Run the speaker wire through the base and out the hole on the front of the stand 

upright between the two key holes.

8. Attach the speaker wire to the speaker binding posts making sure to observe 

correct polarity (+ to red binding post, - to black binding post).

9. Attach the speaker to the stand by putting the mounting keys (on the back of the 

speaker) into the key slots in the stand upright and slide down to lock in position.
Note: Feed the excess wire back through the wire hole as you attach the speaker.

10. Optional step: For enhanced dampening characteristics, loosely fill the supplied 

plastic tube with sand and place in the stand upright (take care not to puncture the
plastic bag on the internal ribs of the stand upright while sliding it in).

11. Place the cap on the top of the stand tube.

12. Place rubber plug in small oval hole in top of upright cap.

For mounting your CVHD-63 in the low position: 

6. Carefully remove the grill from your CVHD-63 by lifting from the grill frame from 

the logo end by pushing in the grill cloth and grabbing underneath the grill frame- 
(don't worry your grill was designed for this in mind.)  After popping the two 
bottom grill pins loose, carefully slide your fingers underneath the grill frame along 
the edge of the cabinet to loosen the remaining grill pins and remove the grill. Place
grill on CVHD63 up side down from the original position and push it in until it is 
flush with the front baffle edge.

7. Screw in the mounting key hardware into the bottom two inserts on the back of 

your CVHD-63 (just above and below the binding posts).

8. Run the speaker wire through the base and out the hole on the front of the stand 

upright between the two key holes.

9. Attach the speaker wire to the speaker binding posts making sure to 

observe correct polarity (+ to red binding post, - to black binding post).

10. Attach the speaker to the stand by putting the mounting keys (on the back 

of the speaker) into the key slots in the stand upright with the cabinet up 
side down and slide down to lock in position (the logo should now be right 
side up - this is why we turned the grill up side down). Note: Feed the 
excess wire back through the wire hole as you attach the speaker.

11. Optional step: For enhanced dampening characteristics, loosely fill the 

supplied plastic tube with sand and place in the stand upright (take care not
to puncture the plastic bag on the internal ribs of the stand upright while 
sliding it in).

12. Place the cap on the top of the stand tube.

13. Place rubber plug in small oval hole in top of upright cap.

Center Stand assembly:

1. Place base cover over base weight.

2. Insert M8 x 20mm screw through 

base weight and base cover into 
bottom of stand upright. Repeat for 
the remaining two screws.

3. Finger tighten the base screws and 

make sure the stand upright is 
properly aligned with the base.

4. Tighten the 3 base screws once 

properly aligned.

5. Attach either the 3 threaded carpet 

spikes or rubber feet to the bottom 
of the base weight.

6. Screw in the mounting key hardware into the middle two inserts on the 

back of your CVHD-63C (just right and left of the binding posts).

7. Attach the universal mounting bracket supplied with your CVHD-63C to the 

stand upright in the horizontal position with the supplied M5 x 18mm 
screws. See Fig X  for correct orientation.The center channel left to right 
level can be adjusted by loosening the top screw holding the universal 
mounting bracket to the stand upright

8. Run the speaker wire through the base and out the hole on the front of the 

stand upright through the universal mounting bracket between the two key 
holes.

9. Attach the speaker wire to the speaker binding posts making sure to 

observe correct polarity (+ to red binding post, - to black binding post).

10. Attach the speaker to the stand by putting the mounting keys (on the back 

of the speaker) into the key slots in the universal mounting bracket and slide
down and to the right to lock in position. Note: Feed the excess wire back 
through the wire hole as you attach the speaker.

11. Optional step: For enhanced dampening characteristics, loosely fill the 

supplied plastic tube with sand and place in the stand upright (take care not
to puncture the plastic bag on the internal ribs of the stand upright while 
sliding it in).

12. Place the cap on the top of the stand tube.

13. Place rubber plug in small oval hole in top of upright cap.

La garantía limitada de Cerwin-Vega para altavoces residenciales se extiende solamente al

adquirente original, según lo demuestre el recibo de venta original, y solamente a los
altavoces residenciales adquiridos en concesionarios autorizados de Cerwin-Vega.

Cerwin-Vega garantiza que todos los altavoces residenciales nuevos carecerán de defectos

de materiales y manufactura, bajo un uso normal y apropiado. Cerwin-Vega acepta reparar o
reemplazar (a nuestro criterio) todas las partes defectuosas sin cargo alguno por mano de
obra o materiales.

Esta garantía limitada no se aplica a equipos defectuosos que: Hayan sido alterados o

reparados mediante procedimientos diferentes a los aprobados en fábrica; que hayan estado
sometidos a negligencias, uso inapropiado o accidentes; que hayan sido dañados por un
voltaje inadecuado en la línea; que tengan el número de serie total o parcialmente alterado,
destruido o retirado; que hayan sido usados con fines diferentes del entretenimiento en el
hogar; o que se hayan utilizado de forma contraria a las instrucciones escritas de Cerwin-
Vega. Exceptuando lo provisto por los estatutos legales, esta garantía limitada no cubre
pérdidas, consecuentes o de otro tipo, resultantes del 

uso inapropiado, o de la incapacidad

de operar, cualquier producto de Cerwin-Vega.

La garantía limitada de Cerwin-Vega tiene una duración de cinco (5) años para todos los

componentes del sistema de altavoces, y dos (2) años para todos los componentes
electrónicos asociados, incluidos el amplificador y los dispositivos de control, período
contado desde la fecha de compra que consta en el recibo original. Si hay un defecto dentro
del período de garantía, dicha garantía no caducará hasta que el defecto haya sido corregido.
El período de garantía también se ampliará si las reparaciones de garantía no se han
efectuado debido a las demoras causadas por circunstancias que estén fuera del control del
adquirente original, o si las reparaciones bajo la garantía no remedian el defecto y el
adquirente original notifica a Cerwin-Vega o al concesionario original o a un Centro de
Servicio autorizado de Cerwin-Vega de que las reparaciones han fallado dentro de los 30 días
de haber sido completadas.

Para obtener servicio bajo la garantía, póngase en contacto con su concesionario o

distribuidor original, o con un Centro de Servicio autorizado de Cerwin-Vega. Si por algún
motivo tiene problemas para localizar a un representante de servicio, póngase en contacto

En algunos casos, el Departamento de Servicio al Cliente puede resolver un problema de

servicio sin necesidad de devolver equipos a Cerwin-Vega, evitando así los retrasos debido al
tránsito.

Si el Departamento de Servicio al Cliente determina que es necesario devolver el equipo

a Cerwin-Vega para su servicio, se emitirá una Autorización de Devolución por correo, y la
mercancía defectuosa puede enviarse a la dirección provista, con el envío de devolución
prepagado, junto con una copia de la Autorización de Devolución y el recibo de venta
original. El producto será reparado o reemplazado (según nuestro criterio) y devuelto al
comprador original. Cerwin-Vega pagará solamente el franqueo de devolución. Cerwin-Vega
no será responsable de los daños que ocurran en el envío desde el comprador original, o
debidos a materiales de embalaje inadecuados. No se olvide de embalar todos los equipos
cuidadosamente y, si es posible, en la caja original. Pueden añadirse cargos adicionales si se
requieren materiales de embalaje nuevos para el envío de vuelta.

¡GUARDE SUS MATERIALES DE EMBALAJE ORIGINALES!

El ejercicio de cualquiera de las provisiones bajo la garantía limitada no afecta a las

protecciones o recursos del comprador original según otras leyes. Si tiene alguna otra
pregunta sobre el servicio, escriba o llame al Departamento de Servicio al Cliente. Esta
garantía limitada se aplica a todos los altavoces residenciales, y reemplaza a todas las
declaraciones anteriores sobre garantía. Cerwin-Vega se reserva el derecho de hacer cambios

(CVHD-12S) - Conecte el producto sólo a un enchufe del tipo descrito

en las instrucciones de operación, o según esté marcado en el producto. El enchufe principal,
utilizado como dispositivo de conexión, deberá estar siempre en buenas condiciones de
funcionamiento.

(CVHD-12S) - No anule la función de puesta a tierra o de

polarización del producto.

(CVHD-12S) - Encamine los cables de alimentación

eléctrica de modo que no sean pisados y apretados por objetos colocados sobre o contra ellos.
Preste particular atención a los cables en los enchufes, conectores convenientes, y en el punto
dónde salen del producto.

Este aparato no debe exponerse a goteras o salpicaduras, y no se deben

colocar sobre el aparato objetos llenos de líquidos, por ejemplo, floreros. No utilice el producto
cerca del agua, por ejemplo, cerca de una bañera, lavabo, fregadero de cocina, tina de lavar, en un
sótano húmedo o cerca de una piscina (alberca) de natación, etc.

Este producto está diseñado para una ubicación específica. EL CVHD-

63 y el CVHD-63C están diseñados para montaje en la pared, utilizando las abrazaderas de montaje
suministradas, abrazaderas de montaje Omnimount 7.0™ obtenidas en el mercado posventa, o
bases opcionales vendidas por separado. Coloque dichos componentes sólo en estantes, sobre bases
apropiadas, montados en una pared con una abrazadera, o encima de un televisor o monitor. Las
bases opcionales para el CVHD-63C y las bases de piso para el CVHD-63 están disponibles en su
concesionario autorizado de Cerwin-Vega.

Coloque el producto lejos de las fuentes de calor como los radiadores, registros de

calefacción, cocinas u otros aparatos (incluidos los amplificadores) que generen calor.

Limpie el producto solamente con un paño seco; no use líquidos como el agua o

La exposición continua y

excesiva a niveles de presión de sonido superiores a 85 dB puede causar una pérdida de capacidad
auditiva. Los sistemas de altavoces de audio y video de Cerwin-Vega poseen la capacidad de generar
niveles de presión de sonido superiores a 85 dB.

Todos los altavoces de la Serie CVHD cumplen con las normas de la CE. Cerwin-Vega procura
constantemente mantener los estándares más altos en productos para el consumidor. Como
consecuencia de esos esfuerzos, pueden efectuarse modificaciones de los productos existentes sin
dar aviso previo de ello. Las especificaciones y la apariencia pueden ser diferentes de las que se
indican o muestran en este manual.
