Configure a Dot1x–MAB Authentication Method List with
Dot1x–MAB Priority
Note:
This section describes how to configure the authentication order and
priority. For information about configuring the dot1x authentication
method, which is also referred to as 802.1x port security, see
In this example, the authentication manager first selects dot1x as the authentication method.
If dot1x authentication is successful, the client is authenticated. If the client is not enabled,
dot1x and dot1x authentication time out, and the authentication manager selects MAB as the
next authentication method. If MAB authentication is successful, the client is authenticated. If
MAB authentication fails, the port is placed in the unauthorized state and the authentication
manager starts a timer. When the timer expires, the authentication manager restarts the
authentication process with dot1x authentication.
