•  Television antenna, gas pipe, aluminum chassis, flower vase, water line (You may connect ground wire to the water 

line if the grounding resistance is less than 3Ω. However, it must be pre-approved to the management authority of 
the water line.)

•  If above examples cannot be avoided, make sure to get a pre-approval from the experts.

Make sure that grounding work is done in below procedure.

1. Select a place for 

grounding.

 Appropriate place

• Humid place
• Damp ground is better than sandy ground

 Inappropriate place

• Place where with underground structure or 

facilities. (Gas pipe, water pipe, Service pipe, 
underground cable.) 

• If the grounding wire is paralle to the grounding 

pole for the lightning rod, make sure they are at 
least 2m apart from each other.

•  Avoid sandy ground or ground with gravel since 

they have high grounding resistance. 

•  Do not use with the telephone ground wire.
•  If you have buried it in a crowded area, firmly fix 

the ground wire.

2. Bury the grounding 

rod.

 If you have laying tool for grounding rod: 

• Bury the grounding rod to the surface.
• Use the laying tool to bury it at least 20cm deeper 

from the surface.

 If you don’t have laying tool:

• Dig a hole as shown in the figure and bury it on 

the ground.

• Fill the hole with the soil to bury the entire 

grounding rod.

3. Arrange the 

grounding wire.

•  If you need to extend the ground wire, attach the 

putty on the connection part and wind it with a 
tape.

•  Fix the grounding wire with staple to prevent it 

from getting tangled.

•  Use the green vinyl wire with the thickness of the 

2mm in diameter or 3.5mm

 in cross section area

•  Make sure that the wire and the wire connection 

part is not buried underground.
