There is only one correct way to insert the memory module. Make sure the rivet of the module is lined up with the connector.

Viewing the amount of memory
To view the amount of memory, proceed as follows:

Turn on the computer.

Click the Start button, point to All Programs, then VAIO System Information, and click VAIO

Closing the side cover
To replace the side cover, proceed as follows:

Align the tabs on the side cover to the rim of the unit.

Press the side cover firmly against the unit until it snaps into place.
