Charging the enclosed driving battery
• Remove the driving battery from the vehicle to charge it (first remove the safety screw of the battery
compartment lid, then open the battery compartment lid).
• Place the driving battery on a heat-resistant, inflammable surface when charging.
• Plug the charger into a suitable, easily accessible AC outlet. Then connect the NiMH drive battery with the
corresponding connectors of the charger plug .
If the vehicle battery is connected to the charger and this is not yet connected to the power outlet, the
LED may light up green on the charger. This is normal.
• While charging, the LED is red.
• The charger and drive battery heat up when charging. Leave enough distance between the charger and the
drive battery, never place the drive battery on the charger.
• Remove the battery from the charger when it is fully charged. Depending on how empty/full the drive battery
was before charging started, charging may take up to 3 hours.
When fully charged, the LED changes from red to green on the charger.
c) Inserting the Batteries/Rechargeable Batteries
• Always observe correct polarity of batteries/rechargeable batteries and the connection of a rechargeable drive
battery in the vehicle (note plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the batteries.
• Never mix batteries and rechargeable batteries! Use batteries or rechargeable batteries for the transmitter and
vehicle.
• Always replace the whole set of batteries/rechargeable batteries. Never mix fully charged batteries/rechargeable
batteries with partially discharged ones. Always use batteries or rechargeable batteries of the same type and
manufacturer.
