Call someone from your contact list
1. In the Phone app, tap  .
2. Tap a contact.
3. If you have multiple phone numbers for a contact, tap the number that you want to call. For example, 
tap 
Call Home or Call Mobile.
Answer or dismiss a call
When you receive a call, the name or phone number of the caller appears in the middle of your 
screen.
• To answer a call, touch and hold the name or phone number and drag it to the bottom of the 
screen.
• To ignore a call, touch and hold the name or phone number and drag it to the top of the screen.
Use Reply Now to send a message to a caller
If you've turned on the Reply Now feature, you can send a caller a brief message after you've dismissed 
an incoming call. You can send a Reply Now message to any caller that is a BBM contact, or to any 
caller that has a mobile number listed in your contact list. By default, if the caller is a BBM contact, the 
Reply Now message is sent as a BBM message. If the caller is not a BBM contact, the Reply Now 
message is sent as a text message.
After dismissing a call, do any of the following:
• To send one of the default Reply Now messages, tap a message.
• To compose a new message, tap 
Custom Message. Type a message and tap Send.
Put a call on hold
While on a call, press and hold 
 until 
Call Held appears on the screen.
Take notes during a call
While on a call, you can take notes that are saved as entries in BlackBerry Remember.
Tip: You can turn on the speakerphone before taking notes, so that your hands are free to use the 
keyboard.
1. While on a call, tap  .
2. Type your notes and include information such as a title, due date, and tags.
3. Tap Save.
