Getting Started
To remove the battery
Insert a thin, pointed tool, such as the point of 
a mechanical pencil, into the hole of the 
battery compartment lid and slide the lid in 
the direction of the “
” mark to open it. Then 
pull the label on the battery out in the 
direction of the arrow to remove the battery.
The power does not turns on if you remove 
the battery from the player even when the 
player is connected to an AC power adaptor.
To insert the battery
Open the battery compartment lid, and 
then insert the battery by matching the “
” 
mark on the side of the player to the one on 
the battery. After folding the label into the 
battery compartment lid, close the lid.

Notes
•  When charging the battery using a USB connection, if your computer’s 
power supply is insufficient, the charging time will be longer.
•  When charging the battery using a USB connection, the charging will stop 
depending on your system environment.
•  If the player is connected to the computer for a long time while charging, 
charging may stop to prevent the temperature of the player from increasing 
too much. Remove the USB cable from the player and start charging again 
after a while.
•  If the player will not be used for three months or more, remove the battery 
from the player.
•  Charge the battery in an ambient temperature of between 5 to 35ºC (41 to 
95ºF).
