Enlarging a part of the
image – Zoom and
trimming
You can enlarge and display a part of
the recorded image.

Set the MODE selector to PLAY.

Display the image to enlarge.

Zoom in/out the image by
pressing the + 
 or – 
 button
repeatedly.
The zoom scaling indicator (

2.0) appears on the LCD screen.

Press the control button repeatedly
to trim the image.

 : Image moves downward

 : Image moves upward

 : Image moves rightward

 : Image moves leftward
To return to the normal
size
Press the – 
 button repeatedly, until
the zoom scaling indicator (

disappears from the screen, or simply
press the control button.

To record an enlarged
image (trimming)

Enlarge the image.

Press the shutter button. The image
is recorded at 640 
×
 480 size.

•You cannot use this function on moving
images.
•Zoom scaling is up to 5

 regardless of
the original size.
