– Clean the motorcycle. ( p. 100)
– Clean the brakes.

After EVERY trip on salted roads, thoroughly wash the brake calipers and

brake linings with cold water and dry carefully. This should be done after the

parts are cooled down and while they are installed.

After riding on salted roads, thoroughly wash the motorcycle with cold water

and dry it well.

– Treat the engine, swingarm, and all other bright and zinc-plated parts (except for the

brake discs) with a wax-based corrosion inhibitor.

Corrosion inhibitor is not permitted to come in contact with the brake discs as

this would greatly reduce the braking force.
