Front speaker distance from the listening position can be set in 0.2 meter (1.0 foot)
increments from 1.0 to 15.0 meters (3.0 to 50.0 feet).
Center speaker distance can be moved up to 1.6 meters (5.0 feet) forward closer to the
listening position, in 0.2 meter (1.0 foot) increments.
Rear speaker distance can be moved up to 4.6 meters (15.0 feet) closer to your listening
position from the front speaker position, in 0.2 meter (1.0 foot) increments.
Adjusts the balance between the front left and right speakers (You can adjust from the
center 6 steps left or right).
Adjusts the balance between the rear left and right speakers (You can adjust from the
center 6 steps left or right).
Notes
• When you select the item, the sound is momentarily interrupted.
• If each of the front or rear speakers are not placed at an equal distance from your listening position, set the
distance according to the closest speaker.
• Do not place the rear speakers farther away from your listening position than the front speakers.
• The DISTANCE setting is available except for Super Audio CD.

You can vary the level of each speaker as follows. Be sure to set “TEST TONE” to “ON” for
easy adjustment.

Press VOLUME –/+ on the control unit or VOL +/– on the remote.

Adjusts the level of the center speaker (–6 dB to +6 dB, 1 dB increments).
Adjusts the level of the rear speakers (–6 dB to +6 dB, 1 dB increments).
Adjusts the level of the subwoofer (–6 dB to +6 dB, 1 dB increments).
Select this when you use the rear speakers in wireless setting (page 21).
Select this when you use the rear speakers in wired setting (page25).
