Adjusting the Volume and
Tone Controls
Note:
While the Bass Mode is set to CONFIGURATION 1
(see page 34) the default setting, all bass sounds are directed
to the subwoofer only. You cannot adjust the bass level of the
5 compact satellite speakers. These 5 satellite speakers are
designed to reproduce the mid and high frequency (treble)
sounds only.
To increase or decrease the treble level of the satellite
speakers, begin playback of a DVD movie disc that has a
Dolby Digital soundtrack. When playback begins press the
SELECT button on the remote control. "TREBLE LEVEL: 00
db" will appear on the TV screen and on the front panel display.
When the Bass Mode is set to CONFIGURATION 2, the
bass level can be adjusted in the same way as treble level.
Immediately press the VOL ADJ +/- buttons to increase or
decrease the treble level of all 5 satellites simultaneously.
The adjustment range is plus or minus 10db in 2db steps.
Note:
You must make the adjustment while the treble level appears
in the display. If the treble level indicator disappears, the setting
will not be changed. When you change the setting the new
setting becomes the default setting until you change it again.
To raise or lower the master volume press the
VOL ADJ +/- button on the remote control. The level of all 6
speakers will be increased or decreased together.
