PROBLEM

Will not start
Out of fuel.
Fill fuel tank.
Bad spark plug.
Replace spark plug.
Dirty air filter.
Clean/replace air filter.
Water in fuel.
Empty fuel tank and carburetor, 
refill tank with fresh gasoline and 
replace fuel filter.
Loose or damaged wiring.
Check all wiring.
Engine valves out of adjustment.
Contact a qualified service center.
Hard to start
Dirty air filter.
Clean/replace air filter.
Bad spark plug.
Replace spark plug.
Weak or dead battery.
Recharge or replace battery.
Stale or dirty fuel.
Empty fuel tank and refill tank 
with fresh, clean gasoline.
Loose or damaged wiring.
Check all wiring.
Engine valves out of adjustment.

Engine will not

Clutch/brake pedal not depressed. Depress clutch/brake pedal.
Deck clutch is engaged.
Disengage deck clutch.

Connect & tighten spark plug wire.

Clean engine air screen/fins.
10 Dirty/clogged muffler.
10 Clean/replace muffler.
11 Loose or damaged wiring.

Excessive vibration
Worn, bent or loose blade.
