RECORDING YOUR PERFORMANCE FROM THE
TXM16 and TXM20
You can record the audio from the TXM16 and TXM20’s
mixer section including the MIC, LINE, TAPE IN and AUX
inputs to a cassette deck, MP3, MD, DAT or any other type
of recorder using the record outputs.  Simply connect the
TXM16 and TXM20’s CD 2/ TAPE OUT jacks to the input
jacks of the recorder as shown in the diagram below. For
playback, connect the recorder's outputs to the CD/TAPE
input.
Operating the TXM16 and TXM20
Using the MONO OUTPUT to Drive a
Subwoofer System
The TXM16 and TXM20’s MONO OUT can be used to
drive a subwoofer system by engaging the SUBWOOFER
ON/OFF switch located in the MONO output strip. When
the SUBWOOFER ON/OFF switch is pressed in, the vari-
able Low Pass, (high-cut), filter is active. Now you can use
the FREQUENCY control knob to set the high frequency
limit of the MONO/SUBWOOFER OUT. The TXM mixer’s
FREQUENCY control has a range from 20Hz to 200Hz
allowing you to tune the output for a variety of subwoof-
ers. You can check your subwoofer’s owners manual for
the manufacturers recommended cut off frequency, or
use your ears while slowly sweeping the cut off point
using the FREQUENCY control knob to find the correct
setting for your system.
Connect the TXM16 or TXM20’s MONO OUT to the input
of the power amp driving your subwoofer as illustrated in
the drawing below.
