Configuration and Operation

 turns off the result codes that would be the normal responses of the 

8400B Plus Data Module to commands that it receives. (For example, 
the 

 message that is displayed when answering a call would 

interfere with the printer.)

S0=1

 turns on the automatic answer feature and causes the 8400B Plus 

Data Module to answer an incoming data call on the first ring.

■

&W0

 causes the current configuration to be stored in data profile storage 

location 0.

■

&Y0

 selects the configuration stored in data profile storage location 0 to 

become the current configuration each time the 8400B Plus Data Module 
is powered on.

Refer to Appendix A for a complete description of each command used in this 
section.

Two commands are available for recovering from various data communications 
problems. You can reset the 8400B Plus Data Module and recall one of two 
stored profiles as the current configuration. The form for this command is as 
follows:

ATZ

where n  is the number 0 or 1, representing the configuration profile to be 
recalled.

A second command allows you to recall the factory-default configuration if, for 
instance, you lose track of the active configuration changes you have made and 
need to start over. The form for this command is as follows:
