Provision GR-303 Service
Provision “Switch” DS1s to Interface Group
5. Set switch DS1 line code to B8ZS with the following command:
set ds1 <n> linecode b8zs
Example:
set ds1 25 linecode b8zs
6. Set switch DS1 circuit ID with the following command:
set ds1 <n> id <"id">
Example:
set ds1 25 id "CA DS1#5"
The ID may contain up to 30 characters and must be enclosed in quote marks.
NOTE:  
GR-303 line termination IDs are used by the switch to set up calls through the 
Access Navigator via the EOC and TMC messages. Customers can change the 
termination IDs to match different installation configurations. The Access Navigator 
provides the following default termination IDs for DS1s 25 to 32, so that termination IDs 1 
and 2 are on different Quad T1 Framer cards for added protection: DS1 25 termid = 1, DS1 
26 termid = 3, DS1 27 termid = 4, DS1 28 termid = 5, DS1 29 termid = 2, DS1 30 termid = 
6, DS1 31 termid = 7, DS1 32 termid = 8.
NOTE:  
To avoid duplication when setting line termination IDs, if another DS1 has the 
same termid number, it will be set to termid 0 (not assigned).
7. Set switch DS1 line termination ID with the following command:
set ds1 <n> termid <id>
Example:
set ds1 25 termid 2
NOTE:  
DS1 clock must be set to “normal” for normal operation.
8. Set switch DS1 clock source to normal or loop with the following command:
set ds1 <n> clock <normal|loop>
Example:
set ds1 25 clock normal
