13.4.5  Temperature detection section
To maintain the stable temperature of the fuser belt, the thermistor detects the temperature and con-
trols ON/OFF of the IH coil. Output from the thermistors is used to detect the abnormality.

(3)  Temperature control for the both ends of the fuser roller
During the continuous printing, the temperature of the both ends of the fuser belt (areas where
the paper does not pass on) generally tend to be higher than that of the other areas (areas where
the paper passes on). The temperature of the ends are detected by the front edge thermistor, and
when it reaches 280°C, the heater is automatically turned OFF regardless of the temperature of
the area where the paper passes on.
