LSI Logic provides a family of MegaRAID
battery backup units for use with it high-
performance MegaRAID storage adapters.
The MegaRAID SATA 300-8X has two
battery options that protect the integrity of
the cached data by providing backup
power in the event of a complete power
failure or a brief power outage. The
LSIBBU03 provides up to 32 hours of
retention time while the LSIiBBU01 preserves
data integrity for up to 72 hours.

Plus (PCP). This selection of powerful RAID
management tools provides the capability
to efficiently configure, monitor, and
manage RAID systems locally or over a
network.

In addition to 3Gb/s SATA transfer rates,
the MegaRAID SATA 300-8X supports
Native Command Queuing (NCQ) and
Enclosure Management (SAF-TE). NCQ,
among the more advanced features defined
in the SATA II specification, allows for
higher performance and increased
reliability by reordering commands more
efficiently. Enclosure Management (SAF-TE)
support allows administrators to manage
the status of enclosures and drives. With
support for these new SATA features, the
