Syslog 
syslog is a utility for tracking and logging all manner of system messages from the 
merely informational to the extremely critical. Each system message sent to the syslog 
server has two descriptive labels associated with it that makes the message easier to 
handle 
¾  The first describes the function (facility) of the application that generated it. For 
example, applications such as mail and cron generate messages with easily 
identifiable facilities named mail and cron 
¾  The second describes the degree of severity of the message 
 
Syntax: syslog <show|config|enable|disable|clean>   
¾  show            Display the system log. 
¾  config          Display the syslog settings. 
¾  clean                      Clean the syslog show. 
¾  enable          Turn on the syslog logging. 
¾  disable         Turn off the syslog logging. 
 
Command usage : 
BAS/sys>syslog 
 
Log the system status and exception. 
 
Usage: 
syslog <show|config|enable|disable|clean|server> 
        show            Display the system log. 
                config                    Display the syslog settings. 
                clean                      Clean the syslog show. 
        enable          Turn on the syslog logging. 
        disable         Turn off the syslog logging. 
                server                    Log message to remote log server.
