PIFs have the following parameters:

uuid

the  unique  identifier/object  reference  for
the PIF

machine-readable name of the interface (for
example, eth0)

the MAC address of the PIF

read/write map parameter

physical

if true, the PIF points to an actual physical
network interface

currently-attached

is  the  PIF  currently  attached  on  this  host?

Maximum  Transmission  Unit  of  the  PIF  in
bytes.

VLAN

VLAN  tag  for  all  traffic  passing  through
this  interface;
