Output Switch Test (EEC-IV Vehicles)
The Output Sw (Switch) Test, also known as the Output State Check, is used
to check the operation of the computer-controlled relays and solenoids on
EEC-IV vehicles. The user can troubleshoot circuits using a voltmeter to
measure voltage at the relays and solenoids in both energized and
non-energized conditions. All measurements should be recorded for reference.
Fuel injectors are NOT energized during this test.
On vehicles equipped with Integrated Vehicle Speed Control (IVSC),
failure to disconnect the vacuum supply hose from the Speed Control
Servo energizes the Speed Control Solenoids.
