The scan unit is locked during transport to protect the scanning
mechanism from being damaged. Be sure to unlock the scan unit before
using the machine.

Open the document cover. Locate the lock switch at the left side.

Move the lock switch to the “unlocked position”.

Note:
If you need to move the scanner for repair or any other reason, be sure to
lock the scanner before moving. To lock the scanner, please do the
following:

Turn off the scanner.
