The battery is inserted under the back cover. A fully charged 
battery has up to 4 hours of talk time and up to 13 days of 
standby time.
Install and charge the battery
1.  Press the locking catch of the battery cover 
 
(fig. 2.1a) and slide the battery cover off 
 
the phone (fig. 2.1b). 
2.  Align the gold-colored contacts of the battery 
 
with the battery compartment contacts (fig. 2.2a), 
 
then slide battery in place, contact end first (fig. 2.2b).
3.  Replace the battery cover.
4.  Plug the charger into a standard AC wall outlet, 
 
and connect the charger to the bottom of 
 
the Nokia 2126 phone (fig. 2.3).

Quick Start Guide
1.  Power key
 
Press and hold to turn phone on or off.
 
Press and release to switch between profiles.
2.  Flashlight
 
Press and hold the           to use the flashlight, or press twice 
 
in quick succession to turn on the flashlight.
3.  Integrated speakerphone
 
Just press the right selection key during a call and talk hands-free!
 
TIP: The speakerphone works best when the phone is on a flat surface.
4.  Selection keys
 
Press to choose the option shown on the screen above the key. 
 
From the Start screen:
 
 
Access the main menu
 
 
View your contacts
5.  Scroll key
 
Scroll through names, numbers, menus, or settings. From the Start screen:
 
View your contacts
 
Adjust volume while on a call
6.  Send key
 
Press to make a call to the name or number shown on the screen or 
 
to answer an incoming call.
 
TIP: You can press the Send key once at the Start screen to access 
 
your recently dialed numbers.
7.  End key
 
Press to end a call, or press and hold to return to the Start screen.
 
Also, press the End key to mute the ringing tone for an incoming call.
