Deleting route waypoints
To permanently delete individual waypoints from a route (but
not from the 961’s database of waypoints):

1. At the EDIT ROUTE screen, press either the MOVE UP or
MOVE DOWN
keys to highlight the route waypoint you
want to delete, then press the DELETE key.
2. Repeat step #1 for each waypoint that you want to delete.

Editing a route at
the chart screen
At the CHART screen, you can change a route in the following
ways:

Graphically moving a route’s waypoints
1. On the ROUTES screen, press the CURSOR PAD up or
down to select the desired route.
2. To display the route on the CHART screen, press the ON
CHART
key, then press the CHART key.
3. At the CHART screen, press the CURSOR PAD to select
the route waypoint you want to move.
The name of the selected route must appear in the CUR-
SOR INFO BAR; to highlight the route’s waypoint, you
may have to press the LEFT ARROW and RIGHT
ARROW keys. Pressing these keys lets you select a
named route waypoint, if any, or an unnamed route way-
point, called POINT X.
