The battery that comes with these camcorders is a lead-acid battery.  Lead-acid batteries should be
stored with a full charge.  If the camera is not used often, it's recommended to fully discharge the battery
then recharge before storing again.  This keeps the cells of the battery active, prolonging the life of the
battery.  The average life of camcorder batteries is 2 years.  (some last one year and some last three
years, dsimpy epends on frequency of use.

This camcorder uses TTL (through the lens) focusing technology.  This is a contrast focusing system
that is light dependent.  This system allows the user to use auto focus while using accessory lenses.
Infrared focusing systems used by other manufacturers require manual focusing when connecting
accessory lenses.

F1.6 is the F-Stop of the camera.  The lower the number, the better.  Lower F-Stops allow more light to
enter through the lens creating more vibrant, colorful pictures.  The lens apertur, 4mm - 48mm, means
the optical zoom is twelve to one (48 divided by 4).  Using the instant zoom this camera has  36 to 1
digital zoom capability.
