Upon choosing Platform at the Main Menu, the next screen displayed is the first in a series of

Legacy LDS
In the following parameter descriptions, Legacy LDS refers to IBM LDS host terminal emulations
running on the LXE 1280, 1290, 2280, 2285, 2286, and 2315 terminals (note the difference
between using the term "terminal" to denote LXE Legacy equipment and "computer" to denote
LXE DOS computer equipment).

BeeperVolume – Beeper Volume
Function
The BeeperVolume parameter specifies the default beeper volume for the computer. This
parameter allows you to increase or decrease the beeper volume. Each computer may react
differently to the beeper settings, some settings may appear to give the same audible tone. The
volume ranges from quiet (lower numbers) to loud (higher numbers). Not all beepers make a
sound as the volume is changed.
