Non-Form Messages
A non-form message is a message that is intended for the Receive Buffer only.
Non-form messages are used to perform such tasks as:
• setting the automatic transmit buffer length
• changing the beep pattern of a DOS terminal
• instructing an operator to carry out an action
• or enabling barcode or aux input.

Rule: Always send non-form messages “forced” to ensure that the DOS
terminal accepts them.
You can send an outbound non-form message from the host computer to the DOS terminal either
