ToteVision lcd-1042ts Supplementary Manual

• Use 15-pin VGA cable to connect the LCD to the monitor port on the computer. 
• Use 9-pin RS-232 cable to connect the LCD touch screen to a serial port. 
• Connect up power and turn LCD monitor ON. 
• Adjust resolution for LCD monitor if needed. 
 
 

• Go to 

www.elotouch.com 

• Select “Downloads” on lower left of Elo Touch Systems main page 
• Click on “Current Drivers” link under Downloads window 
• Go under “Drivers by operating system” select link for your operating system and option that is for 
Serial (not USB). For Windows XP users select “Windows XP/2000 Universal”. 
• Select the .exe file under Download 
• Run Download 
 
 

3. Open and unzip Elo driver files. Or, if you need to place the file, copy file over to other 
computer and then continue on to next step. 
 
 
4. Run setup. 

• Checkmark “Install Serial Touch Screen Driver” and select Next. 
• Agree to license. 
• Checkmark “auto-detect Elo device” and select Next 
• Checkmark which Com port are using (if have only one select Com 1) 
• Click on Com port to highlight and run install 
 
 

• From Elo Touchscreen Properties window and select “Align”. 
• In the grey Calibration window, should fill entire LCD touch screen display, touch finger to the red 
target points as they appear on the screen. 
• Touch the green checkmark when done, this will close the calibration screen and take you back to 
your computer desktop. 
 
 
Once you have finished calibrating the LCD touch screen should work. 
 
 
If you need to run calibration again, to open to the same grey calibration screen in s, either click on the 
Elo icon your computer tool bar (or Start menu > Control Panel > Elo Touch Screen) and select “Align”. 
Note: Other devices and/or touch screen drivers using the same serial port can interfere with the Elo 
touch screen and driver.
