The “Display Properties” windows appears. Select your screen
parameters from the color palette, desktop area, and refresh
frequency.

Click on Test and make sure the selected mode is displayed
correctly on the screen.

Click on OK in the “Display Properties” window.

If you are installing the ThinkPad Configuration program for

Windows NT, you can switch between display output
types—external display only, LCD only, or both—using the
ThinkPad Configuration program.

If you are using Windows NT, you can create different video

mode configuration profiles, such as one for the LCD mode
and another one for the External Display mode. For more
details about the hardware profile settings, read the Windows
NT user's guide.

If you are going to use an enhanced port replicator with your
computer, do the following.

1. If your system is connected to a network, log off before

starting the installation.

2. You need to uninstall PC Card support software

(CardWizard).

3. Dock your computer to the enhanced port replicator.

4. If you want to install the Windows NT Service Pack, install it

before you install the PC Card support software.

5. Reinstall the PC Card support software.

Start Windows NT, and log on with the user ID authorized as
an administrator.
