Press the 0 button in Capture 
mode.
The functions registered on the four-way 
controller (2345) appear.

Use the four-way controller 
(2345) to choose the registered 
function and change the setting.
Pressing the DISPLAY button when EV Compensation is registered on 
the four-way controller displays a histogram showing the EV setting.

To adjust the white balance, select K (manual) and press the OK 
button when White Balance is registered. (1p.67)

Press the 0 button or the shutter release button.
The setting is saved and the camera is ready to take pictures.
• Only one function can be registered on each key of the four-way 
controller.
• You can choose from the following ten functions: Recorded Pixels, 
Quality Level, White Balance, Focusing Area, AE Metering, Sensitivity, 
Sharpness, Saturation, Contrast and EV Compensation (+) / (–). 
Select [Off] if you do not want to register a function.
• EV Compensation (+) and (–) must be registered as a pair, with (+) on

 and (–) on 3, or (–) on 4 and (+) on 5. It is not possible to register 
only EV Compensation (+) or (–), or to reverse the plus/minus 
functions.
• Functions cannot be registered in - (Easy) mode.
Retrieving a Function
Pressing the 0 button in - (Easy mode) displays the Help screen.
