Key Application Requirements
Hold aesthetic contours of unique bentwood furniture.
Benefits/Advantages To Customer
Easy to use: Hand-held applicator sets down a bead of adhesive where you want it.
Helps eliminate production steps: In locations where traditional white glue and
nails are common, Scotch-Weld adhesive can be a welcome alternative. It can
help eliminate the extra work required to putty and sand in many jobs.
Design options help lower costs: Preformed maple veneer laminations are
bonded to each other in the manufacturing process. Mechanical fasteners are
eliminated, helping to lower costs in the manufacturing and production process.
The original design used both screws and adhesives.
Strength in overall design: The high strength, thin bond lines and elimination
of mechanical fasteners provides necessary strength for the quality
manufacturing process required in this application. A more attractive
appearance increases overall customer satisfaction with the end product.
Ultraviolet light indicator: When viewed under most ultraviolet (UV) lighting,
adhesives EZ17005 and EZ17030 have a purple tint, making it easy to detect
residue in the bondline that should be removed prior to finishing.
