Updating the modem driver
If you need to update the modem driver for any reason, proceed as follows:

Click the Start button and open Control Panel.

Click the Phone and Modem Options icon.

Click the Modems tab and then click Properties to view the properties of your modem.

On the Driver tab, click Update driver.
The Hardware Update Wizard window appears.
Follow the instructions that appear on your screen. You can perform a Windows search for the driver, or
point to the driver's location yourself.
