Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and save them for future
reference.
Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before 
you connect the appliance.
Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket. Always ensure the plug is inserted 
firmly into the socket.
If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by 
Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Never immerse the housing in water, nor rinse it under the tap.
Make sure the heating plate, magnetic switch and inner pot are clean and dry before 
switching the rice cooker on.
Do not use the rice cooker for deep frying food and do not let any part of the rice cooker 
come into contact with hot oil. 
Do not switch the rice cooker on without having inserted the inner bowl.
Always unplug the rice cooker and let it cool down before cleaning it.
Do not place the inner pot directly over an open flame for cooking.
Do not obstruct the steam vent with any article, e.g. a piece of cloth, during operation.
Keep the appliance out of the reach of children. Do not let the mains cord hang over the 
edge of the table or worktop on which the appliance is standing.
This appliance is intended for household use only. If the appliance is used improperly or for 
(semi-)professional purposes or if it is used in a way that is not in accordance with the 
instructions for use, the guarantee will become invalid and Philips will not accept liability for 
any damage caused.
Place the rice cooker on a level surface.
The accessible surfaces may become hot when the appliance is in operation.
Electromagnetic fields (EMF)

properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on
scientific evidence available today.
