Sound setup page 
(underlined options are the factory default settings)
NIGHT MODE 
This mode optimizes playback of sound at low volume.  High 
volume outputs will be softened and low volume outputs will be 
enhanced to an audible level.  This feature is only applicable for 
DVD video discs with Dolby Digital mode.
{  OFF } 
–  Turns off night mode feature. Selects this to 
enjoy the surround sound with its full 
dynamic range.
ON } 
–  Turns on night mode.
CNTR DELAY 
Set the delay time in relation to the listening position/distance 
from the center speaker. Use     keys to set the delay times 
(5ms, 3ms, 2ms, 1ms or OFF) and press OK to confi rm.
REAR DELAY 
Set the delay time in relation to the listening position/distance 
from the rear speakers. Use     keys to set the delay times 
(15ms, 12ms, 9ms, 6ms, 3ms or OFF) and press OK to confi rm.
Note:  1 ms increase/decrease of delay time is equivalent to 30 
cm change in distance.  Use the longer delay time settings when 
the rear speakers are closer to the listener than the front 
speakers.
TEST TONE 
This feature helps you to judge the sound level of each speaker.
OFF } 
–  Turns off test tone.
{  ON
–  Turns on test tone, the test signal will be 
automatically generated when you set the 
speakers’ channels.

Philips provides you with the DivX® VOD (Video On Demand) 
registration code that allows you to rent and purchase videos 
using the DivX® VOD service.  Press OK to see the registration 
code and press OK to exit.
 
Use the registration code to purchase or rent the videos from 
DivX® VOD service at www.divx.com/vod.  Follow the 
instructions and copy the video from your computer onto a 
CD-R/RW disc for playback on this DVD system. 
Note:  All the downloaded videos from DivX® VOD can only 
be played back on this DVD system.  For more information, visit 
us at www.divx.com/vod.
