Safety Information
This book contains important information related to user safety.
Please read this “Safety Information” carefully before using your product and keep it handy 
for future reference.
The following symbols are used in this manual to categorize the level of safety warnings.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if instructions are 
ignored, could result in serious injury or death.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if instructions are 
ignored, may result in personal injury and/or damage to property.
Power Supply
• Do not share an extension cord connector with other plugs or connectors.
•  Use only the specified power source voltage. Failure to do so could result in a fire or 
electrical shock.
• Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet.
•  Do not scratch, abrade, place a heavy object on, heat, twist, bend, pull on, or damage 
the power cord. Use of a damaged power cord (exposed core wire, broken wire, etc.) 
could result in a fire and/or machine malfunctions. 
Should any of these conditions exist immediately turn OFF the power switch, unplug the 
power cord from the power outlet and call your authorized Muratec dealer.
•  Allow ample clearance around the electrical outlet in order to be able to disconnect the 
power plug should an emergency occur.
Safety During Operation
•  Never disassemble your product. Some products have high-voltage parts and laser beam 
source inside that could cause an electrical shock and/or blindness. If service is required, 
contact your authorized Muratec dealer.
•  To avoid an electrical shock, never handle your product or power cord with wet hands.
•  Turn off the power switch, disconnect the power plug and call your authorized Muratec 
dealer if any of the following conditions exist: 
– Something is split on the product 
– If your product becomes unusually hot or emits an unusual odor, noise or smoke. 
– If your product has been dropped or the cover has been damaged.
  An electrical shock and/or fire could occur if these conditions are ignored.
