To set the Default Service Mode, either Voice Mode or Data Mode, that
will be active when you turn on the phone,

When enabled, the Talk Timer will display when a call connects. It displays 
the duration of a call in hours, minutes, and seconds. 

To enable/disable the Talk Timer,

The Security menu allows you to control calling restrictions, change 
Security and Unlock Codes, set Encryption, and reset various items. 
To enter this menu you are required to enter your Security Code. See ‘To 
change your Security Code’ on page 50 for more information. Contact 
your service provider if you have lost your Security Code. 
If an incorrect Security Code is entered, ‘Security Code is not correct!’ 
flashes and you are returned to the previous menu.

The Restrict Calls option in the Security menu allows you to choose from 
the following levels of restriction:

Press 

 and select 4 Preferences, 8 Advanced.

Select 4 Default Service.
Select Voice Mode or Data Mode and press OK softkey.

Press 

 and select 4 Preferences, 8 Advanced.

Select 5 Talk Timer.
Select Disable or Enable and press OK softkey.

1 No Restrictions

All calls allowed

2 Local Only

Only local calls up to 7 digits or toll free calls 
are allowed

3 Phonebook 1-99

Only calls to Phonebook Locations 1-99 are 
allowed

4 Phonebook 1-9

Only calls to Phonebook Locations 1-9 are 
allowed

5 Receive Only

Incoming calls can be answered but no 
outgoing calls can be made
