Releasing Power Save/Changing Off Time
Setting Power Save/Changing Off Time
If you use the OTHER SETUP menu screen to specify “POWER SAVE  ON:5”, and
continue the recording pause status for approximately 5 minutes, the DVD camera/
recorder will automatically go off to prevent the battery from being discharged. You
can also change the auto power off time to 30 minutes. If you want to use up the
battery when you have no intention to use the DVD camera/recorder for a long
time, you can switch off the Power save function.
1. Press the MENU button in the recording pause status to display
the menu screen.
2. Use the select dial to choose “OTHER
SETUP” and then “POWER SAVE”.
Options will be next to POWER SAVE: “OFF” is
being highlighted.
3. Turn the Select dial to change “OFF” to
“ON:30” (power off in approximately 30
minutes) or “ON:5” (power off in ap-
proximately 5 minutes), and then press
the Select dial.
The menu screen for setting others will be re-
stored, and “POWER SAVE” has been specified
as “ON:30” or “ON:5”.
4. Press the MENU button to switch off the menu screen.
Tip:
• The power save setting information does not appear in the on-screen
display, and this setting will not change when the DVD camera/recorder is
turned off. It is recommended that you set “POWER SAVE” to “ON:5” to
prevent needless battery consumption.
