Power save and discharge of battery
If you use the OTHER SETUP menu screen to specify “POWER SAVE  ON:5”, and
the DVD camera/recorder is left in the recording pause status for approximately 5
minutes, it will automatically turn off.
Even during recording pause, battery power is consumed at the same level as
during recording. Especially when power save has been released, turn the DVD
camera/recorder off if possible, except during recording. Turn the DCD camera/
recorder on again to restart recording.
You can change the time until the DVD camera/recorder automatically turns off to
approximately 5, 30 minutes (see “Setting Power Save/Changing Off Time” on page
129).

This DVD camera/recorder can zoom in on subject up to 12 times optically multi-
plied by 4 times digitally.
1. Slide the Zoom lever to "T" control
side, and the subject image will gradu-
ally become telescopic: Slide to "W"
control side, and the image will widen.
If the digital zoom is specified "ON" (see p. 66),
continuously pressing the Zoom lever "T" con-
trol will switch to digital zoom midway.
Tips:
When a subject is zoomed, it may be momentarily out of focus.
When digital zoom is engaged, the image quality will be slightly rougher.
If the zoom ratio is frequently changed at short intervals, the recorded
image will be unclear.
