   KN-304 Quick Configuration Guide
■ When Using in an Environment Consisting of Windows NT and Windows 95/98
Printing can be performed using TCP/IP printing service (lpr) from a computer compatible with Windows NT.
The setup procedure in this case is as described below.
Set up TCP/IP of the KN-304 from the LCD panel of the Konica 7020.
Set up TCP/IP on the computer being used (Windows NT).
Install “Microsoft TCP/IP Printing” if it is not already installed.
Add the printer port and install “Printer Driver”.

● Installation of Microsoft TCP/IP Printing Service
When [Network] is selected from the [Control Panel] of a computer compatible with Windows NT, the [Network]
dialogue box is displayed.  Click on the [Services] tab and confirm that [Microsoft TCP/IP Printing Service] is
present in the [Network Services] list.  If [Microsoft TCP/IP Printing Service] is not on the list, add it to the list.
Refer to the Windows NT help menu for information on the procedure for adding Microsoft TCP/IP printing.
● Addition of Printer Port and Installation of Printer Driver
Once installation of Microsoft TCP/IP Printing Service has been completed, perform addition of the printer port
and installation of the “Konica IP-011 nozomi” printer driver.  This procedure uses the [Add Printer] function of
Windows NT.  In addition, a CD-ROM is required that contains a printer driver.
The procedures for adding the printer port and installing the printer driver are as described below.
Click on the [Start] button and select [Printers] from [Settings].
Double-click on [Add Printer] to start the [Add Printer Wizard].
Select [My Computer] and then click on [Next].
Click on the [Add Port] button.
Select [LPR Port] from the [Available Printer Ports] of the [Printer Port] dialogue box, and then click
on the [New Port] button.
