Connecting an external mouse

A USB connected mouse can be used but extended functionality such as scrolling is not
supported.

You do not need to switch off your notebook.

Simply connect the mouse to the PS/2 mouse connection (or keyboard connection) on the
right-hand side of your notebook.

You can simultaneously connect a mouse and an external keyboard to the PS/2 mouse
port (or keyboard port) with a Y-adapter cable.

If you want to use the Microsoft IntelliMouse or the Fujitsu Siemens Wheel Mouse as an optional
device, you must start the

With external PS/2 mouse devices it may be necessary to reboot the notebook or to end the
Standby mode if the mouse has been removed and then replaced whilst the notebook is switched
on.
