The name closest to the entry appears in capital letters in the
place-distinguishing list.
The scroll marks indicate that other locations in alphabetical
order can be selected.
A selection can be made by turning the right rotary control
and pressing to confirm. (See ”General Instructions” on
page 79.)
If a definite entry is given, the switches to the Road/ Centre
Entry. If there are no streets or only the centre is available for
a particular town, the unit will switch directly to the Route
menu.
If the selection is unclear or ambiguous, the place-distinguis-
hing list is shown.
Select the desired destination using the right rotary control 
and press to confirm.
The program returns to the Road or Centre Entry.

Select the letters one after the other by turning the right rotary

 and press to confirm. The selected letter appears
enlarged at the right of the display.
With the multifunction button 
, the last letter confirmed
is deleted.
The complete entry can be deleted by pressing the multifunc-
tion button 
 for more than 2 seconds.
Letters that have already been entered are displayed inverse-
ly. For the purpose of support, the existing entry is displayed
at the next road to be reached. The unit offers only the possib-
le remaining letters for selection.
