General printing problems
Problem
Solution
The power does not turn on.
Check the power cord connections.
Check that the power supplied to the printer is 
steady and meets printer specifications.
The printer does not operate by pressing 
the button on the operator panel.
Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on.
It cannot print from software application.
1. Select Start-Settings-Printers from 
Windows 95 task bar.
2. Click the PCL6 or PS printer icon.
3. Select File-Default Printer.
The printed data is not sent to the printer.
Check the printer cable connections (see

The test page is not printed.
Check that all trays are properly loaded, adjusted, 
and installed in the printer.
Check that all covers are correctly closed.
