Think back! Remember how 
the  magic  cube  invented  by 
Ernõ Rubik became a world-
wide  obsession  in  the  early 
1980’s?  ELAC’s  MicroSUB 
also  fascinates  with  its 
voluminous 

sound 

and 

innovative technology. 
 
In  a  limited  edition  of  200 
units  –  naturally  each  with 
certificate  –  the  smallest 
HiFi  subwoofer  in  the  world 
has  irresistible  charm  for 
both  the  music  lover  and 
those  with  fond  memories 
of  the  Rubik’s  cube.  The 
cube  faces  are  painted  and 
finished by hand. 
 
Inside, 

the 

decorative 

lifestyle  subwoofer  has  the 
same  design  as  its  “SUB 
2010  BT”  brothers,  which 
are  available  in  high  gloss 
black and white finishes.  
 
The  midget  subwoofer  is 
only  21.8  cm,  but  weighs 
almost  5  kg  (15.0  cm  wide, 
17.8  cm  back-to-front  size), 
and 

contains 

amplifiers  (two  for  both 
bass  drivers  and  two  for 
satellites  to  be  connected). 

Due  to 

the  push-push/pull-pull  operation  of  the  two  bass  drivers,  the  MicroSUB  is  entirely 

vibration-free, so it can even be set up in sensitive locations (such as next to a laptop with a 
hard disk or on glass display cabinets).  
As a standalone unit, it lends loudspeakers or flat screens more sound depth. In combination 
with satellite loudspeakers, this Desktop 2.1 loudspeaker system creates a 

music centre.  
Cinch sockets mean that notebooks (sound card), streaming servers, MP3 players or mobile 
phones with integrated MP3 players (mini-jack socket to cinch adapters included) and of 
course the classic CD or DVD players can all be connected as audio sources. 
 
A  special  feature  of  the  2010  BT  MicroSUB  is  a 

Bluetooth®  interface  (A2DP)  for  wireless 

connection  to  notebooks,  MP3  players  or  “MP3  mobiles"  that  support  the  high-quality  audio 
format (A2DP) of the 

Bluetooth® interface. 

 
 
The MicroSUB 2010 BT can be operated in two versions as a Desktop 2.1 loudspeaker sys-
tem.  These  are  the 

MicroSTAR  2.1  with  two  Starlet  satellite  loudspeakers  or  the  Micro-

MAGIC 2.1 with ELAC 301 as satellite loudspeakers. 
 
The Desktop 2.1 speaker system with the 2010 BT Microsub is optimised for music reproduc-
tion  even 

at  very  close  range  (1-3  m)  and  takes  up  the  minimum  amount  of  space  on  the 

desk, sideboard, windowsill or shelf in your office, study or bedroom. Power is supplied by an 
external notebook switching power supply.
