[P3] s used for the Intercom functon ON/OFF swtch when 
the Intercom functon s set to ON n the REMOTE BOX SET 
MODE. (No other functon can be assgned.)
The Intercom functon allows the operators of CONTROL 
HEAD 1 and 2 to communcate each other va ther mcro-
phones.
The optonal mcrophone and the SP-22 

external

 

speaker

 

are requred.

NOTE:
• Transmttng s mpossble durng ntercom operaton.
•  Durng ntercom operaton, when [PTT] s pushed and 

held  on  the  caller’s  sde,  any  receved  rado  sgnal  s 
muted on the lstener sde’s CONTROL HEAD external 
speaker. However, the receved rado sgnal can be heard 
on the caller sde’s CONTROL HEAD external speaker 
and the man unt’s external speaker.

•  When the message sgnal s receved, t s not dsplayed 

on the LCD of CONTROL HEADs durng ntercom opera-
ton. After extng the ntercom mode, t wll be dsplayed 
on the LCD.

•  Durng ntercom operaton, CONTROL HEADs 1 and 2 

return to the normal operaton mode, f no [PTT] opera-
ton s performed for 30 sec.

 Push [P3 (INTERCOM)] to enter the ntercom mode.

  •  The other CONTROL HEAD s also set to the Intercom mode 

automatcally even f ths functon s set to OFF.

  •  “INTERCOM” appears on both CONTROL HEADs.

  Push and hold [PTT] and speak at a normal voce level 

nto the mcrophone.

  •  “IN USE” blnks on the lstener sde.
  •  To adjust the audo output level, rotate [VOL].

  After releasng [PTT] you can hear the response through 

the speaker.

  To return to normal operaton, push [P3 (INTERCOM)].
