The  reset command is used to reset the switch’s software. After resetting, all 

configuration of the switch will restore to the factory defaults and your current 

settings will be lost. 

Privileged EXEC Mode 

Reset the software of the switch: 

The reboot command is used to reboot the 

switch. To avoid damage, please 

don’t turn off the device while rebooting.

The  copy running-config start-up config command is used to save the 

current settings.
