Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a StarTech.com Component Video
over Cat5 Extender. This product offers a cost effective way
to connect Component Video devices using Cat5 cable,
making it ideal for classrooms, projectors, tradeshows, and
retail displays using a component video signal.

Basic Setup
1. Connect the Component Video cable to the outputs on 
the back of the video source.
2. Connect the opposite end of the Component Video cable 
used in Step 1 to CPNTUTPEXT local unit (marked 
Y, Pb, Pr respectively).
3. Connect the Cat5 cable to the RJ45 port on 
CPNTUTPEXT local unit (marked RJ-45 Balanced 
Component Video
).
4. Connect the opposite end of the Cat5 cable to the RJ45 
port on the CPNTUTPEXT remote unit.
5. Connect a second Component Video cable to the 
designated ports on the output SVIDUTPEXT unit 
(marked Y, Pb, Pr).
6. Connect the remaining end of the Component Video 
cable to the monitor/display.  For further instructions on 
how to locate the Component Video ports on your 
display, please refer to the documentation that 
accompanied the display at the time of purchase.
