The SGR124W supports an array of features to create a more
manageable and efficient network deployment. With the easy
to use Web Management interface accessible through a web
browser, you can configure the switch to maximize your
network performance and security. Energy usage has also
been taken into account with the design of the switch to
support green Ethernet applications.
Key Features and Benefits
Bandwidth Segmentation:

With port trunking support multiple ports can be combined to create greater bandwidth between the switch with another switch or a server.
This method creates a higher aggregate bandwidth for more data intensive areas of the network allowing for the reduction of data bottlenecks
increasing overall network traffic.
Prioritizing Traffic:

With the support of Quality of Service (QoS) the SGR124W allows for the prioritization of traffic so that more urgent or time dependent data
can be delivered at a higher priority over data that is not as sensitive to time delays due to excess congestion of the network. 802.1p is
supported for VLAN tag priority and DSCP on Layer 3 network framework.
Fanless Design:

The SGR124W is designed to dissipate heat effectively without the use of fans. This not only reduces the noise output of the unit but it also
increases the reliability and MTBF.
The SGR124W supports 24 active VLANs allowing the switch to be segmented into smaller networks to increase traffic loads to these
segments. This helps decrease Broadcast and Multicast traffic to the network and allows for security by isolating traffic to where it belongs.
This is ideal in the support of voice, video and data applications.
Port Trunking:

Power Saving:

The SGR124W complies with IEEE802.3az EEE Energy Efficient Ethernet Standard. The low energy components and the ability of the
switch to reduce power to unused ports or ports that require less power due to cable length or load makes the SGR124W an active energy
saving device.
Management:

The SGR124W supports an easy to use Web Interface that graphically displays the switch so that configuration and management can be
easily accessible. Remote management can also be accomplished through Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMPv1/v2c) offering
multiple options for network management.
