generator to protect it from scale: the steam 
function is disabled if it is not descaled after an 
hour of steam ironing when the reminder is on. 
After the appliance is descaled, the steam 
function is restored. This happens regardless 
of the type of water used. To make the Calc 
clean effortless, a smart calc clean container is 
provided so you do not need to hold the iron 
over the sink for 2 minutes. After that, your 
steam generator iron is ready to use again.
