Congratulations on your purchase of this all-in-one window & door alarm! This 
stand-alone alarm unit is a simple, easy-to-install security device which will help 
you to protect one door or window from unwanted intrusion.

This window & door alarm unit can effectively alert when a single window (or door) 
is being opened though it cannot prevent a window from being broken. Thus, for 
more complete protection of a window, we suggest using either infrared alarm or a 
glass breakage alarm as a backup to the door alarm.

IMPORTANT: Read Before Installing
•   Do not expose any part of the alarm unit to sudden shocks (such as being 

dropped or struck).

•   Do not install the alarm unit near devices which generate magnetic fields (such 

as microwaves).

•   Do not install the alarm unit in direct sunlight.
•   Only use alkaline batteries.
•   All components are for indoor use only. Do not install outdoors.
•   Replace the batteries in the unit every six months.
•   Test the alarm periodically (every 1-2 months and each time you can change the 

batteries) to ensure it is working properly.

This alarm system is designed to act as a deterrent. It cannot provide complete 
protection for your home or business. Like all practical systems, it has limitations 
and it could be disabled by a skilled intruder. We suggest that you avoid relying 
solely on this alarm unit to protect your property, but use it as part of a comprehen-
sive security solution. You can increase your level of protection through the use of 
high-quality locks, stronger doors, guards for your windows etc.

The sensor is composed of two separate, equally important parts: the alarm unit 
itself, and the trigger. The alarm unit is the larger of the two parts, and is responsi-
ble for sounding the alarm (hence of siren). Inside the transmitter is a magnetically 
sensitive switch, which is held in the OFF position by the magnetic trigger.
When the trigger is moved farther than approximately ½”(10-15mm) away from the 
door sensor, the switch closes to the ON position and the alarm is triggered.

Gefeliciteerd met uw aankoop van dit raam- en deuralarm. Deze stand-alone unit is 
een eenvoudige, gemakkelijk te installeren veiligheidsinrichting die bijdraagt aan de 
beveiliging van een raam of (kast)deur tegen ongewilde indringing.

Dit raam- en deuralarm kan effectief een alarm geven wanneer een raam of deur 
wordt geopend (alhoewel het niet kan verhinderen dat een raam wordt stukgesla-
gen). Voor een betere vensterbeveiliging raden we dus aan ofwel een infrarood 
alarm of een glasbreukalarm als ondersteuning van dit alarm te gebruiken.

BELANGRIJK: Lees dit vóór de installatie
•  Stel geen enkel deel van de alarmunit bloot aan schokken (bijv. val of stoot).
•  Installeer de alarmunit niet in de buurt van toestellen die magnetische velden 

genereren (zoals microgolfovens).

•  Installeer de alarmunit niet in vol zonlicht.
•  Gebruik enkel alkalinebatterijen.
•  Alle onderdelen zijn enkel voor binnenhuisgebruik Installeer ze niet buiten.
•  Vervang de batterijen van de unit om de zes maanden.
•  Test het alarm periodiek (om de 1-2 maanden en elke keer als de batterijen 

vervangen worden) om zeker te weten dat het goed werkt.

Dit alarm is als afschrikmiddel ontworpen. Het kan geen volledige beveiliging van 
uw woning of bedrijf waarborgen. Zoals alle praktische systemen heeft het 
beperkingen en een ervaren inbreker kan het uitschakelen. Wij stellen voor dat u 
niet louter op dit alarm vertrouwt om uw eigendom te beveiligen, maar dat u het als 
een onderdeel van een uitgebreide beveiligingsoplossing ziet. U kunt uw beveili-
gingsniveau verhogen door gebruik te maken van kwalitatief hoogstaande sloten, 
stevigere deuren etc.

De sensor bevat twee aparte, evenwaardige onderdelen: de alarmunit zelf en de 
trigger. De alarmunit is de grootste van de twee onderdelen en doet het alarm 
weerklinken (hierna de sirene). Binnenin de transmitter zit een magnetisch 
gevoelige schakelaar, die door de triggermagneet in de UIT-positie wordt gehou-
den.

Wanneer de trigger verder dan ongeveer 10-15 mm (1/2e “) van de deursensor 
wordt weggehaald, gaat de schakelaar naar de AAN-positie en weerklinkt het 
alarm.

The arming/disarming switch is located underneath the battery compartment, just 
above the battery slot. There are three settings, ALARM, OFF and CHIME (doorbell). 
When the unit is set to ALARM, the alarm will sound whenever the two parts of the 
alarm are separated. When the unit is set to CHIME, the doorbell will sound 
whenever the two parts of the alarm are separated. When the unit is OFF, the  
alarm will not sound under any circumstances.

-  To arm the sensor, simply set this switch to ALARM or CHIME.
-  To disarm the unit or stop an alarm in progress, set the switch to OFF.

Included are two portions of double-sided tape, one for both the alarm unit and the 
magnetic trigger.

1.  Remove the plastic cover from one side of the larger piece of double sided tape, 

and apply the tape to the rear side of the alarm unit.

2.  Remove the plastic cover from one side of the smaller piece of mounting tape, 

and apply to the rear of the magnetic sensor.

3.  Clean the surfaces you want to mount the alarm on using cleaning alcohol or 

similar. Ensure the surfaces are completely clean and dry before proceeding.

4.  Remove the plastic cover from the other side of the double-sided tape, and 

apply one part of the alarm to the door/window you want to monitor, and the 
other part to the frame. Ensure that when the door/window is shut, the small 
black arrows on the sensor and trigger line-up. They don’t need to physically 
touch, but they should be no more that 1/5” (5mm) apart when the door/window 
is shut for the sensor to work correctly.

1.  Open the battery compartment on the front of the sensor.
2.  Remove any old batteries.
3.  Place four fresh alkaline LR44 batteries into the sensor. The correct orientation 

is shown on the base of the battery compartment. Use only alkaline batteries. 
Do not use rechargeable batteries.

To test the current state of your batteries, press the TEST button, located in the 
battery compartment. If the Battery Indicator LED will lights up then the batteries 
have enough power to operate the alarm. If it does not light up or is dim, then you 
should replace the batteries as soon as possible.

De aan/uit schakelaar bevindt zich in het batterijvak. Er zijn drie instellingen, 
ALARM, UIT en deurbel (chime). Als de unit op ALARM staat, zal het alarm 
weerklinken telkens de twee alarmdelen worden gescheiden. Als de unit op UIT 
staat, zal het alarm nooit weerklinken. Als de unit op deurbel (chime) staat, zal een 
deurbelgeluid klinken telkens als de twee alarmdelen worden gescheiden.
-  Om de sensor in te schakelen zet u deze schakelaar eenvoudigweg op ALARM 
  of CHIME (deurbel).
-  Om de unit uit te schakelen of een weerklinkend alarm te stoppen zet u de 
  schakelaar op UIT.

Inbegrepen zijn twee stukken dubbelzijdige tape, een voor de alarmunit, en een 
voor de triggermagneet.

1.  Verwijder de plastic afsluiting aan één zijde van het grootste stuk dubbelzijdige 

tape en breng de tape op de achterkant van de alarmunit aan.

2.  Verwijder de plastic afsluiting aan één zijde van het smalste stuk dubbelzijdige 

tape en breng de tape op de achterkant van de magnetische trigger aan.

3.  Reinig de oppervlakken waarop u de alarmunit wenst te monteren met een 

reinigingsalcohol of gelijkwaardig. Zorg ervoor dat de oppervlakken volledig 
schoon en droog zijn voordat u verdergaat.

4.  Verwijder de plastic afsluiting van de andere zijde van de dubbelzijdige tape en 

breng een deel van het alarm aan op de deur /het raam die u wenst te bewaken 
en de andere kant op het kozijn. Controleer dat wanneer de deur of het venster 
dicht is, de kleine zwarte pijltjes op de unit en de trigger in één lijn liggen. Ze 
moeten elkaar niet echt raken, maar er mag maximaal een ruimte van 5 mm 
(1/5e “) tussen beiden zijn wanneer de deur/het raam dicht is, zodat de sensor 
correct kan werken.

1  Open het batterijvak op de alarm unit
2  Verwijder de oude batterijen
3  Plaats 4 nieuwe LR44-alkalinebatterijen in de sensor. U vindt de correcte 

polariteit op de basis van het batterijvak. Gebruik enkel alkalinebatterijen. 
Gebruik geen oplaadbare batterijen.

Om de huidige status van uw batterijen te testen, drukt u op de TEST-knop van het 
batterijvak. Als het led-batterijverklikkerlampje oplicht, zijn de batterijen voldoende 
vol om het alarm te doen werken. Als het niet oplicht of gedimd is, dient u de 
batterijen zo snel mogelijk te vervangen.
